ACCRU GI Disease Group Leadership Change

ACCRU News & Releases – June 26, 2018

Due to the recent changes in ACCRU leadership, the co-lead position for the GI Disease Group has become available. Dr. Tanios Bekaii-Saab (interim chair for ACCRU) has nominated Dr. John Strickler (from Duke University) to fill this very important position. Dr. Strickler has been a leading member of the GI Disease group since 2015 and serves as the lead for the flagship COLOMATE initiative. His clinic focuses on the treatment of gastrointestinal malignancies. His research focuses on the design and execution of first-in-human and investigator-initiated clinical trials with translational correlative studies. He has a particular interest in non-invasive testing to identify and treat genomic drivers of treatment resistance. Dr. Strickler’s nomination was approved by the Board of Directors and the Executive committee for ACCRU. Please join me in welcoming and congratulating Dr. Strickler in this leadership role.
